OBI MEETS ENVOYS FROM UK, GERMANY, CANADA, FRANCE IN ABUJA

Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party and a chieftain of African Democratic Congress (ADC), on Wednesday met with envoys and representatives of several diplomatic missions in Abuja.

The meeting included officials from the British High Commission as well as the embassies of Germany, Canada, and France. Details of the engagement were not immediately disclosed.

The development was confirmed in a post on X by Esther Umoh, Obi’s campaign photographer during the 2023 general elections.

She said the former Anambra State governor met with representatives of multiple diplomatic missions, including the British High Commissioner and officials from the named embassies.

No official statement has been issued by Obi or the diplomatic missions involved regarding the purpose or outcome of the meeting.

The engagement adds to Obi’s series of meetings with foreign envoys and stakeholders in Abuja, where political and diplomatic interactions frequently take place.
