EL-RUFAI TO CONTEST FOR PRESIDENCY – ADC CHIEFTAIN, HAYATUDEEN MAKARFI

A close ally of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai and member of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Hayatudeen Lawal Makarfi has disclosed that the ex-Kaduna governor is preparing to run for the presidency in upcoming 2027 general elections.

Makarfi made this known while addressing Journalists on Tuesday after the trial of Nasir El-Rufai.

According to him “His excellency president Bola Ahmed will hand over to his excellency Mallam Nasir el Rufai 2027 May and the journey has started.”

DAILY POST reports that the former Kaduna Governor El-Rufai, has been under detention by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC where he is undergoing trial for alleged corrupt practices while as the governor of Kaduna State.
