MANY KILLED AS TANKER EXPLODES IN ENUGU

Many lives were lost Saturday when a petrol-laden tanker fell and caught fire along Ugwu Onyeama between Enugu and 9th Mile.

A video of the incident shows many burnt vehicles while men of the state Fire Service battled to extinguish the raging flame.

It is not yet ascertained the number of the dead, but at least seven vehicles and a Keke were burnt beyond recognition.

A voice in the video was heard asking for prayers for the dead. It added that some people in vehicles that fell inside a nearby gully are unaccounted for.
