The Nigeria Democratic Congres NDC, Director of New Media and Strategic Communications, Theo Abu Agada, has said it’s time for the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to give up his ambition.

Agada was reacting to Atiku’s son, Abba’s decision to back President Bola Tinubu’s reelection bid in 2027.

Abba had unveiled his 2027 mobilisation plan in the six geo-political zones for Tinubu’s reelection.

The founder and chairman of Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation, HBTO, a political mobilisation and support platform had earlier defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Abba revealed that he would soon mobilize a two-million-man march across Nigeria for Tinubu’s reelection.

However, Agada described Abba’s move as very bad optics for the former vice president and ADC’s presidential candidate.

Posting on X, he wrote: “A very bad optics. AA should give up his ambition at this point.”

Meanwhile, Atiku is a major contender in the 2027 presidential election and has been tackling Tinubu’s policies.

On several occasions, the ADC flag bearer had accused Tinubu of causing hunger in the country.
