EX-GOVS CHIME, UGWUANYI CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER, OGARABE, NOW ENUGU CP

November 6, 2026 • Dons Eze • 1 min read

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the deployment of CP Fidelis Ndubuisi Ogarabe as the new Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command.

Ogarabe is not new to Enugu’s security landscape. He previously served as Chief Security Officer to two former Enugu State governors, Sullivan Chime and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, for three consecutive terms between 2007 and 2023.

Before his latest deployment, he served as Commissioner of Police, INTERPOL Annex, Lagos.

His appointment followed an interview and assessment process by the Police Service Commission, alongside the deployment of three other Commissioners of Police to Plateau, Nasarawa and Ondo states.

As he assumes leadership of the Enugu Police Command, residents will be looking forward to renewed commitment to public safety, intelligence-led policing and effective crime prevention.

Congratulations to CP Fidelis Ogarabe.
