A planned nationwide protest calling for the occupation of offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) across Nigeria and Nigerian embassies abroad is gaining momentum following a call circulating on X.
In an announcement posted on X, the group called on Nigerians across the country to prepare to occupy INEC offices in their respective states, while urging Nigerians in the diaspora to stage solidarity protests at Nigerian embassies in their host countries.
The group gave INEC until November 8, 2026, to release all outstanding Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) belonging to registered voters, warning that Nigerians would take to the streets if the electoral commission failed to meet the deadline.
“RELEASE THE PVCs!” the group declared, insisting that there would be no more games, antics or distractions over the demand.
It also appealed to the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Services (DSS) to allow Nigerians to exercise their civil rights without intimidation or provocation.
“Keep calm and we will keep calm,” the group told the security agencies, warning against actions that could provoke protesters.

The group further urged Nigerians to wear black attire during the planned demonstrations, referencing protests in Serbia, Nepal and India as examples of public mobilisation.
It called on Nigerians to move beyond verbal demands and prepare for nationwide street demonstrations if INEC failed to release the PVCs by the stated deadline.
