A chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Aisha Yesufu, and other social media users have reacted to a viral video showing Vice President Kashim Shettima running towards the podium during the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential campaign rally in Cross River State.

In the video, Shettima and the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, were seen running towards the podium during the rally held at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar.

Upon reaching the podium, Shettima was also captured displaying his signature dance moves, with Yilwatda joining him in an apparent attempt to energise the crowd.

Shettima’s actions have been perceived by some as an attempt to demonstrate his physical fitness and dismiss claims that President Bola Tinubu is unfit to govern the country.

Reacting to the video, Aisha Yesufu, a staunch supporter of the NDC presidential candidate, Peter Obi, claimed that the former Anambra State governor had given politicians an assignment to demonstrate their physical strength.

Sharing the video on her official X handle, the activist wrote, “Peter Obi don give Nigerian politicians assignment”.

Similarly, an X influencer, Shehu Gazali Sadiq, mocked the ruling party, claiming that despite its desperate efforts, President Tinubu would lose the January 16 election.

He wrote, “This is APC campaign rally in Cross River state. Kashim Shettima ran a 100m race to prove that Tinubu is fit.

“A flat rally. No excitement, no enthusiasm, very dull and negative atmosphere. The crowd was scanty. Sowore will pull more crowds than this one. Bro, APC and Tinubu will go”.
