EXAMINING ATIKU’S SIX CONDITIONS FOR STEPPING DOWN FOR PETER OBI

  1. Atiku’s demand that Kwankwaso — the biggest organic northern support base — step down as Obi’s running mate and be replaced by “a northerner who can barely deliver his LGA” is a poison pill, not a term of negotiation. No campaign accepts a swap that weakens the ticket and insults a key ally, and Atiku knows it. The condition functions as a fake face-saving way to say “I was willing to step down for Obi ” while guaranteeing the deal collapses — a genuine offer to step down doesn’t come pre-loaded with a dealbreaker.
  2. Demanding repayment of everything he has spent running for president since 1992-2026: framing stepdown as contingent on it is own is nothing but an exit ramp. It lets him claim he offered to step down while making sure the terms can never be met — serious concessions are priced to be accepted; this one is priced to fail.
  3. He demands to run in 2031- This demand exposes him as a serial presidential race runner. Asking Obi to deliver SE, SS and part of NC votes to Atiku when he will be 88 years in 2031 is a sign that Atiku lied that he would resign from politics after a defeat in the 2027 election. It means he will still run again in 2031- confirming that his everlasting desperate same pattern that had led him to do eight presidential runs since 1992.

4.His demand for stepping down for Obi only comfirm, He is a Zonning rotational presidenial intruder and an interloper whose conditions should be treated as such.

  1. By 2023 a northern Fulani president had already served eight years, and the presidency was due to rotate South — yet Atiku ran in 2023, and is positioning again for 2027 after the North’s full two terms. This is the same zoning logic he invokes when Its morally the North’s turn conveniently, he has no standing; his “conditions” are the demands of an intruder negotiating over property that isn’t his.

6.The 2031 clause collapses on its own logic. No serious southerner will contest in 2031 because the South’s turn ends that year, and southern youths won’t rally behind a southern candidate whose mandate expires on inauguration day. That means the only person the clause actually serves is a northermer for example kwankwaso

All the conditions fail the same test: none can be accepted by a serious southern campaign, and all three leave Atiku to be described as as a serial presidetial race loser in the end — whether in 2027 or at 88 in 2031. He should be held to his conditions, because they are the clearest proof he never meant to step down at all.
