NDC TO CONDUCT FRESH PRIMARIES TO REPLACE GUBER CANDIDATE, OTHERS WHO RESIGNED

The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC has revealed the next step to take after some candidates resigned from the party.

This was contained in a post that the National Publicity Secretary of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Osa Director shared on his official X handle on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.

This is coming after the NDC governorship candidate in Bauchi state, Ibrahim Mohammed Kashim and some other candidates resigned from the party.

In the statement that surfaced online, Osa Director stated that the party will immediately conduct fresh congresses to elect credible and trustworthy candidates that will replace those who have resigned.

He urged members of the party not to be perturbed by the antics of the All Progressive Congress, APC.

Here is what Osa Director wrote on his official X handle;

“In line with the provisions of the Electoral Act, 2026, the party will immediately conduct fresh congresses to elect credible, competent and trustworthy candidates to replace the defectors in the affected constituencies”.
