The APC chairman warned that civil servants and political appointees who failed to demonstrate support for the government that pays their salaries could face consequences, insisting that their employment and official responsibilities should take precedence over personal and family relationships.
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibi Local Government Area of Taraba State, Hon. Emmanuel Ubandoma, has been captured on video threatening civil servants and political appointees over their political affiliations and the individuals they support.
In a video obtained by SaharaReporters, Ubandoma was heard speaking in Hausa and warning government employees and appointees against engaging in political activities that he considered contrary to the interests of Governor Agbu Kefas’s administration.

He also urged those unable to separate their family ties from their political responsibilities to resign from their positions, while threatening to begin exposing individuals he accused of betraying the trust placed in them by the government.
In the video, Ubandoma said: “If you are a civil servant or hold a government appointment, and I catch you engaging in this, I will take action against you and whatever follows, you should put it in writing.
“I am saying this because you cannot work for a government that pays your salary and provides for your livelihood, only for you to turn around and betray its trust. That is unacceptable.
“Even if you are related to a candidate by blood, sharing the same mother or father, if you cannot set that relationship aside and do your duty, you should resign. Resign!
“By the end of this month, I will begin to expose you. I am not afraid of anyone. I am not afraid of anyone who has betrayed the trust placed in them.
“I want to present to you a government that is trustworthy. Therefore, there are many voters who should begin to…”
Several prominent political figures and actors have recently faced intense public backlash or law enforcement scrutiny for allegedly threatening opposition members and voters.
Most notably, during the run-up to the August 2026 Osun State governorship election, multiple key figures from different political divides were caught in viral controversies involving severe threats of electoral violence.
The backgrounds of the primary individuals implicated in recent opposition threats include Senator Francis Fadahunsi, who represents Osun East Senatorial District.
In August 2026, just days before the August 15 governorship election, a video surfaced online showing Senator Fadahunsi allegedly instructing supporters to “kill” or aggressively eliminate members of the rival Accord Party and other opposition entities if spotted in the Ilesa area.
The video sparked massive national outrage, leading the Osun State Police Command to formally invite the federal lawmaker for official questioning regarding violent public incitement.
Fadahunsi later defended himself, claiming his words were deliberately misrepresented by opponents and that he was merely advising his community to defend themselves against armed political thugs.
