Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has opened up about the struggles behind his remarkable journey to becoming one of Africa’s most respected actors.

Speaking shortly after arriving in Ghana for the launch of an ambitious Africa Legacy Project documenting his life and career, Edochie revealed that his success did not come overnight.

“I suffered a bit along the line,” the legendary actor said, stressing that there are many untold stories about his life that people will discover through the project.

Edochie also spoke emotionally about his relationship with the late former Ghanaian President Jerry John Rawlings, recalling their last meeting and the memorable time they spent together.

With Ghana holding a special place in his heart, Pete Edochie says the Legacy Project will reveal chapters of his life and career that many people have never heard before.
