Nigeria Democratic Congress NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi has alleged that intimidation by the federal government under Bola Tinubu is causing acquaintances to avoid him in public and discourage him from attending private events.
Speaking during an interview on the #WithChude programme, Obi claimed that fear of being associated with him has affected his daily interactions with people he knows.
“I now see people I know at the airport but won’t greet me… some send me wedding invites but will tell me not to attend due to intimidation from the federal government,” Obi said.
He described the alleged actions as part of what he called a broader pattern of harassment targeting opposition figures, adding that it has affected his movements and social engagements. Obi also referred to an incident in which his vehicle was reportedly locked at an airport while other vehicles were allowed to park.
