KWANKWASO UNVEILS GWARZO AS KANO NDC GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE

Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has announced the emergence of Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo as the Kano governorship candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, ahead of the upcoming 2027 elections.

The development was disclosed in a statement posted on Kwankwaso’s official page.

According to the statement, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna was also selected to contest for the Kano Central Senatorial seat under the party.

This decision was made in the spirit of equity, fairness, loyalty, and competence — values that remain central to our party and Kwankwasiyya’s progress and unity,” the statement read.

Kwankwaso also prayed for a peaceful and successful affirmation exercise, expressing optimism about the party’s chances in the coming elections.
