INEC MAGNIFIED APPEAL COURT’S ORDER ON ADC – ODINKALU

Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission has taken to his official X handle to react after the judgement delivered by Justice Uchechukwu Onyemenam surfaced online.

According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that INEC magnified the order.

The judgement delivered by Justice Uchechukwu Onyemenam of the appeal court, Abuja regarding the leadership crisis in the ADC generated mixed reactions after the reports surfaced online.

While the judgment acknowledged the grievances of the complainant, Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe, awarding N2m as damages, the leadership of the ADC was not challenged.

Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and legal practitioner made the judgement available on his official X handle on Saturday April 4th, 2026 accompanied by a striking comment.

According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the simple judgement delivered by the appeal court was turned into a thunder strike by professor Joash Amupitan led INEC.
