Former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai has launched a searing accusation against President Bola Tinubu, claiming the president has been unlawfully withdrawing ₦100 billion every month from Nigeria’s Federation Account for over 15 months totaling ₦1.5 trillion. Watch full report

Speaking on Arise TV, El-Rufai condemned the deductions as a clear violation of the Constitution and a serious breach of fiscal responsibility. “Every month, President Bola Tinubu deducts ₦100 billion from the Federation Account. This is unconstitutional and an impeachable offence,” he declared.

El-Rufai has called on the National Assembly and oversight bodies to urgently probe these allegations, warning that failure to act risks setting a dangerous precedent.

The explosive claim has ignited fierce debate nationwide, with political analysts warning that if proven, this could spark impeachment proceedings and demands for greater transparency in managing Nigeria’s public funds.
