Amidst the wave of defections affecting the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), particularly among the governors, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has stated he is comfortable in his party.
Makinde said after meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday.
Answering questions from State House correspondents, Makinde said he is not planning to jump ship.
He said, “I am comfortable in the PDP and again we may have issues in this country where you need a bipartisan approach, where it will not be like APC talking alone, PDP talking alone. Where we will need to look at what is the best foot forward in the interest of our Country. When we get to that junction, we need everybody on board.”
