A fresh twist has emerged in the ongoing coalition talks as supporters of Peter Obi insist that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) must clearly zone its presidential ticket before the former Labour Party candidate can formally join the alliance. Political activist Serah Ibrahim raised the concern on Friday, noting that ADC members appear increasingly anxious about Obi’s delayed decision.
According to her, the party quickly shifted its focus to Obi after announcing its coalition agenda. “They seem worried about Peter Obi not joining yet. They joined and immediately started making comments about him joining,” she said.
Serah added that clarity is essential before any progress can be made: “My question to them is simple: Where are you zoning the ticket to? I think you should make your intentions clear before making statements about Peter Obi.”
