WHY TINUBU SHOULD RESIGN “HONORABLY” & THE SHAPE OF NIGERIA AFTER HIS DEPARTURE. – MAHDI SHEHU

  1. He has woefully failed to protect lives, properties, dignity, honour and integrity of Nigeria and Nigerians.
  2. He is living in denials and completely detached from the realities of Nigerians in relation to Hunger, poverty, insecurity, uncertainty, fear, loss of hope, mutual hate and suspicion etc.
  3. His poorly articulated and panicky economic policies have created more hungry people nearing over 150million with 30 million malnourished children, 70 million hypertensive Nigerians, 40 Million out of school children.
  4. His economic ( mis)management and reckless borrowing and heartless public spending have destroyed millions of formal and informal businesses, dislocated millions of households, increased unemployment, declining income, destruction of public service and increased hopelessness among the citizens.
  5. His despotic and Nepotic preferences has created more hate, suspicion and sharper divides across,. region religion, tribe and such other expressions.
  6. Let him hand over to a trusted retired supreme court judge with a record of impartiality. He can come from any part of Nigeria provided he has that record of impartiality.
  7. Let all the national and state assemblies be dissolved.
  8. Let state and federal executive councils be dissolved.
  9. Let there be in place an Armed forces ruling council drawn from all the armed security outfits with 37 members, one each from every state.
  10. Let every state nominate one responsible, patriotic and well educated person between the ages of 30 and 50 to form a ministerial council( with gender sensitivity) for implementation of the armed forces/ ministerial council decisions and directives.
  11. Let serving military sole administrators be appointed for every state and Abuja, not below the ranks of Lt col or its equivalent in other arms to be deputised by indigenous civilian deputies.
  12. Let there be a uniformed officer not below the rank of a colonel or its equivalent in each state and who must be an indigene of that state to serve as the Garrison commander and shall nominate a retired security officer from each local government ( from the rank of captain to Lt colonel) to form the state e security Council.
  13. Let every local government have one credible nominee each to serve as a commissioner in the state executive council which will implement the decision of the state security council and executive council. They must be between the ages of 30 to 45
  14. Let the Constitution be suspended and let the Interim state executive council prepare a constitution through wider consultations with state stakeholders preparatory to either a merger with a homogenous neighbor and form a country or form its own independent country.
  15. All these must happen within 24 months
  16. The realities of today’s Nigeria is that we have failed institutions, subsumed by corruption, dysfunctional out of greed and wicked choices.
  17. . You may hate my honest proposal which gives you an option to give a better option so as to prevent the impending collapse of a giant of Africa that is currently in ICU gasping for oxygen with only half cylinder remaining to be shared among 250 million Nigerians minus the Villa occupants, ministers and governors who assumed they have “STOCKED ENOUGH OXYGEN FOR LIFE” .
  18. To compensate Tinubu, the interim head of government can consider and post him to Malta, Saint Lucia, France, South Africa, Sudan, libya, Syria etc as SPECIAL ENVOY or to head the African election monitors team.
  19. In appreciation of Kashim shettima’s patience he can be considered as a special envoy to Chad, Burkino faso, Niger Republic .
