TRUMP’S MILITARY WARNING; LIKE BUHARI, TINUBU HAS FAILED NIGERIANS – HAKEEM BABA-AHMED

OIP 82 1

Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, former Senior Adviser to President Bola Tinubu, has blamed Nigeria’s worsening insecurity on years of failed leadership, saying President Tinubu has continued the same pattern of inaction that defined previous administrations.

Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Friday, Baba-Ahmed said Nigeria’s deteriorating security and the United States’ growing impatience were direct results of “consistent leadership failure” since the administration of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.

According to him, the security crisis has evolved dramatically since Boko Haram’s first uprising in 2009, with new and more dangerous threats emerging across the country.

“The situation is far worse today. The threats are more complex, and the sources are more diverse. Unfortunately, the only thing that has remained consistent is bad leadership,” he said.

Baba-Ahmed stressed that U.S. intervention or pressure would not solve Nigeria’s problems, warning that only responsible and decisive leadership could restore order.

He added, “Everything happening to Nigeria can be traced to our leaders. This is a great nation weakened by poor and indifferent leadership. Tinubu has failed Nigerians, just like those before him. For years, our leaders have ignored insecurity, and now, friends like the U.S. are telling us to fix ourselves—or be fixed.”
