A Polish Member of the European Parliament, Dominik Tarczyński, has expressed optimism that Nigerian Christians will soon receive help amid ongoing concerns over religious violence in the country.
Tarczyński made the statement in a post on his X handle on Sunday, where he also backed United States President Donald Trump’s designation of Nigeria as a country of particular concern over alleged persecution of Christians.
“Nigerian Christians will be rescued very soon,” he wrote.
Parallel Facts recalls that Trump had cited continued attacks on Christian communities and what he described as the Nigerian government’s failure to protect religious minorities.
However, the Nigerian Federal Government has consistently denied claims of religious persecution.
On Saturday, Trump further warned that the United States may take military action against Nigeria if urgent measures are not taken to address the situation.
