There is traffic congestion on major roads in Nigeria’s capital city as a result of the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest.
Human rights activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore, had led some persons to the streets to protest the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Despite repeated warnings by security agencies, the protesters embarked on an intended march to Nigeria’s seat of power, but they were stopped half way by security operatives who forcefully dispersed them.
However, the roadblocks mounted by security operatives across the city, prevented the free flow of traffic.
Among the areas affected were Abuja-Keffi highway, Kugbo-Nyanya Expressway, Mararaba-Nyanya highway, Abuja-Kaduna Expressway.
