
The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has deepened, as fresh reports suggest that a camp loyal to the Minister Melania Trump’s Hands on Donald’s Trip Make a Subtle Style Statement of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, is making moves to scuttle the party’s forthcoming national convention.
According to a report by Daily Sun, the group aligned with Wike is exploring both legal and political options to frustrate the elective convention scheduled for November 16, 2025.
Despite warnings from the party leadership against internal sabotage, sources disclosed that Wike’s camp remains defiant, insisting that unlil the South-South Zonal executives loyal to the minister are recognised, there would be no peace in the PDP.
“The very thing we feared is now unfolding. We were afraid of court cases because the minister is part of this government. As it stands, we might end up in court because I do not see the party conceding to him after all the compromises already made. If we keep yielding to his fresh demands, we risk handing the party over to him completely, and that is what we must avoid,” a PDP insider told nike metcon 9 the newspaper.
The source added that Wike’s loyalists are allegedly fueling crises in some states where congresses are ongoing, a move believed to be aimed at destabilising the buildup to the convention.
“Wike’s group is using members within the party to create tension during state congresses as a prelude to derailing the national convention,” the insider alleged.
