WHY JOE BIDEN, TRUMP REFUSED TO SEE TINUBU – BINANCE TIGRAN GAMBARYAN

OIP 35

Tigran Gambaryan, an executive at Binance, has disclosed that former President Joe Biden of the United States, US, refused to meet President Bola Tinubu during last year’s United Nations General Assembly, UNGA.

Gambaryan also disclosed that President Donald Trump doesn’t care about meeting Tinubu, hence the Nigerian president refusal to attend.

He explained that Biden refused to meet Tinubu during last year’s UNGA because the Nigerian government was “holding him hostage.”

Posting on X, he noted that the US government limited the number of visas for Nigerian delegates due to his issue.

Gambaryan, who was Binance Holdings Limited’s head of financial crime compliance, and Nadeem Anjarwalla, the crypto exchange platform’s Africa regional manager, were detained on 26 February 2024 for failing to cooperate with law enforcement agencies investigating how crypto exchange firms, including Binance, were sabotaging the Nigerian economy and causing the West African nation substantial financial loss.

After much pressure from the US on October 23, 2024, the Nigerian government dropped the charges.

However, Gambaryan posted on X: “He was going to attend last year, but @JoeBiden refused the meeting because they were holding me hostage.

“The U.S. Embassy in Nigeria also limited the number of visas for the Nigerian delegation on the same grounds. That’s why Shettima and the foreign minister were the only ones there last year—and they were embarrassed when the DOD refused to meet with them for the exact same reason, until I was released. Last year’s UNGA was a complete disaster for them.

“This year, @realDonaldTrump couldn’t care less about meeting @officialABAT. Good on him. That’s why he won’t come—it’s embarrassing for him to come to the U.S. and not get a meeting with the @realDonaldTrump. Facts”
