Primate Elijah Ayodele, the spiritual leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has sent a strong warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his proposed economic policies, particularly the controversial 5% tax on fuel. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to Ayodele, the planned fuel tax would not only worsen the hardship Nigerians are already facing but also spell doom for Tinubu’s administration. He cautioned that the policy would be mismanaged and ultimately rejected by the masses.

In his words, Ayodele declared:

“Your taxation advisers are digging your grave for you.”

The cleric emphasized that such tax measures would bring calamity upon the nation and urged the president to listen to the advice of his Minister of Finance instead of pushing ahead with the policy.

Ayodele stressed that implementing the fuel tax would lead to the collapse of the government if not abandoned immediately.
Mixed Reactions Trail Primate Ayodele’s Warning

The viral video of Ayodele’s prophecy sparked intense debate on social media, with Nigerians expressing divided opinions:

Atobajaye wrote: “Like I said, this man should just join a political party instead of using trending topics as so-called prophecies just to stay relevant.”

MagDon added: “This is supposed to be a service, right? Why not hold a podcast and analyze government activities? Church is for worship, not political commentary.”

ANMUT commented: “So na God give am this prophecy? Just dragging Christianity into politics.”

Ilesanmi Awolusi noted: “Primate is afraid of PBAT’s tax starting January 2025. Nigerian pastors should also prepare to pay tax. PBAT remains president until 2031.”

PAPEE argued: “He already said the tax will reduce purchasing power and slow down the economy. But some people only want their kinsman to rule for 8 years.”
