According to the presidency, Tinubu will resume official duties immediately upon his return. The President had initially planned a 10-day working vacation, splitting his time between France and the United Kingdom, but has now decided to end it early.
During his time in France, Tinubu held a private luncheon with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace, where they discussed bilateral ties and pledged to strengthen cooperation in key areas to promote prosperity and global stability.
It’s worth noting that Tinubu’s vacation was part of his 2025 annual leave schedule, and his administration has emphasized that the trip was routine.
The President’s decision to cut short his vacation may indicate a need to address pressing national issues or attend to official duties.
We however gather that the President’s abrupt return to Nigeria is due to pressing homeland issues but recalls that Mr Peter Obi has told him that he is afraid of staying in Nigeria.
