NCAA ISSUES NEW DIRECTIVE ON PHONES, ELECTRONIC DEVICES: NO MORE AIRPLANE MODE

Director-General Civil Aviation, (DGCA), Capt. Chris Najomo, has tasked air passengers to ensure they switch off their phones and other portable electronic devices during flight take-off and landing.

He also directed Nigeria’s airline operators to amend their Operations Manuals to reflect this requirement and submit to the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for approval.

Capt. Najomo gave these directives yesterday during an emergency National Civil Aviation Security Committee (NCASC) meeting convened by the NCAA in Abuja.
