WHY ATIKU ALWAYS CONTESTS PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION – ADEYANJU
Political activist Deji Adeyanju has claimed that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s repeated attempts to contest Nigeria’s presidency are driven by consistent financial backing from government and private sources.
In a statement shared on his social media platform, Adeyanju alleged that Atiku’s motivation for continuously vying for the highest office in the land stems not just from political ambition, but from the steady flow of campaign funds he receives during each election cycle.
“One of the reasons Atiku is always contesting every election is because he is always getting funding from within and outside government,” Adeyanju stated.
The comment comes weeks after Atiku Abubakar joined the Coalition Movement under the umbrella of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in preparation for the 2027 election.
Atiku has not publicly responded to the claims. His media team has also remained silent on Adeyanju’s accusations as of the time of filing this report.
