PDP IS A PARASTATAL OF APC, IT TAKES DATES OF NEC, NWC MEETING FROM ASO VILLA – DINO MELAYE

Former Senator representing Kogi West at the National Assembly, Dino Melaye, has claimed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been purchased by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Melaye, who recently defected from the PDP to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), made the allegation while speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday night, August 1, 2025.

According to Melaye, the PDP now receives dates for its National Executive Committee, NEC, meetings directly from the Presidential Villa.

He remarked, “PDP has been purchased by the APC. The PDP is a parastatal of the APC. In fact, they take dates for NEC meetings and NWC from Aso Villa. Look at these PDP governors, are they acting as opposition? And you know how powerful governors are.”

Meanwhile, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, Lere Olayinka, recently tackled Dino Melaye for supporting the ADC opposition coalition.

Olayinka, in an interview with Channels Television, described those who dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ADC coalition as “bad eggs.”

Olayinka said Melaye, who was doing social media content in his house during the election in Kogi State, is now talking about a coalition.

He said, “Let the bad eggs leave. For instance, one of those bad eggs telling us that they are doing coalition is from Kogi State.

“He was a candidate of the PDP and on the day of the election, he was in his house busy doing social media content.

“He did not even come out to vote. Somebody who did not vote for himself in his own election is the one talking about coalition. I’m talking about Dino Melaye.”
