FORMER GOVERNOR DUMPS PDP, JOINS ADC

Former governor of Adamawa State and ex-senator for Adamawa North, Mohammed Umaru Bindow Jibrilla, has formally registered and collected his African Democratic Congress (ADC) membership card in Mubi North Local Government Area.

Social media updates released Monday indicate that the move marks his official departure from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in preparation for his full transition into the opposition ADC coalition.

Bindow, who led Adamawa State from 2015 to 2019 and previously served as senator between 2011 and 2015, is expected to play a pivotal role in ADC’s strategic mobilisation, especially ahead of the 2027 general elections.

His public induction into ADC comes amid growing momentum for the party in Adamawa.

Already, former vice president, Atiku Abubakar and the 2023 governorship flagbearer of the APC in the state, Senator Aisha Binani have joined the ADC.
