APC’S POPULARITY IN THE NORTH STARTED DWINDLING AFTER BUHARI LEFT OFFICE IN 2023 – ADAMU GARBA

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Garba has said that the party’s popularity across the Northern part of the country began to dwindle after former president Muhammadu Buhari left office in 2023.

Garba noted that this has also worsened since the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje as the National Chairman of the APC.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Garba called for repositioning within the party leadership.

He said, “Naturally, there is going to be this kind of tension.

“Buhari left the presidency in 2023, and when you look at the outcome of the 2023 elections, the APC had only 5.5 million votes in the north. Where were the 12 million votes?” Garba queried.

He further stated that the APC managed to win the 2023 election because there was an established structure in place.

According to him, the existing structure and strategies deployed during the election led to the party’s victory.

“What we need now is to re-engineer our strategies again now with his absence,”

He further alleged that President Bola Tinubu is currently surrounded by sycophants whose aim is to deceive him.

He warned that these people are “vultures” who have taken positions around the president for their gains.
