FULL LIST OF COUNTRIES TINUBU HAS TRAVELLED TO SINCE 2023

Since assuming office in 2023, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has embarked on official visits to at least 20 countries, with the Presidency maintaining that these trips are geared towards strengthening diplomatic relations, attracting foreign investment, and addressing regional challenges.
However, the frequency and perceived cost of these travels have drawn criticism from opposition voices and concerned Nigerians, especially against the backdrop of rising economic hardship at home.

Among the most vocal critics is the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Peter Obi, who has twice taken a swipe at President Tinubu over his foreign engagements, particularly his recent trip to Saint Lucia.

Obi questioned the rationale behind such a trip, given that Nigerians are grappling with inflation, insecurity, and dwindling purchasing power.
