80 YEARS OLD, 40 YEARS IN OFFICE, UGANDA’S PRESIDENT, MUSEVENI, IN 7TH TERM RACE
Africa is truly a funny place. 80 year old President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda has been President since 1986.
He announced this week that he will be running for President again 2026, a record 7th time!
After 40 years in power, the man has not yet had enough. He is the third longest serving President in the word after President Nguema of Equatorial Guinea and President Biya of Cameroun, both Africans!
How can the three longest serving living Presidents in the world be from Africa?
As if that is not bad enough, Museveni’s first son, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has been positioned to take over from him.
General Muhoozi Kainerugaba is not only the head of the Ugandan Armed forces, he is also chairman of the Ugandan Patriotic League, a group that decides more or less who will be President of Uganda.
Africa, who did this to us?
