IDENTITY OF MAN WHO RAN AT TINUBU IN KADUNA REVEALED

The Kaduna State Police Command has identified the individual who attempted to breach protocol and approach President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his official visit to the state as Umar Mohammed, a resident of Anguwan Muazu, Kaduna.

According to a statement by the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, Mohammed is known to suffer from a psychiatric disorder, which he has lived with since birth.

The police clarified that the incident, which briefly disrupted the event, was a result of Mohammed’s excitement to see the President up close.

“No incriminating item was found on him,” the statement added.

A viral video of the incident showed security operatives swiftly intervening as the man moved toward President Tinubu, who calmly responded, “Leave him alone,” before continuing his speech.

The incident occurred during the unveiling of a 300-bed specialist hospital in Millennium City, Kaduna, named after President Tinubu.

The health facility was inaugurated by Governor Uba Sani, who praised the President for his influence and support.

“Your leadership is a beacon of light; it is working, it is changing lives,” Governor Sani said during his remarks at the ceremony.

The commissioning of the hospital comes amid widespread public frustration over Nigeria’s current socio-economic challenges.
