NIGERIA WON’T BECOME ONE-PARTY STATE -:TINUBU
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ruled out the possibility of Nigeria becoming a one-party state under his watch.
Addressing a joint session of the National Assembly on the occasion of democracy day celebration on Thursday in Abuja, Tinubu, however, said he would not advise opposition parties to put their house in order.
He said, “It is better to witness them (opposition parties) in such a disarray. ”
Tinubu also said the APC would be doing what he described as political malpractice, if it stops the influx of opposition members into its fold.
“Nigeria will not become a one-party state. A one-party state is not in the offing. But we will be doing political malpractice if we close the doors for those who want to join APC,” he said.
