ONANUGA’S ATTACK ON PETER OBI CONFIRMS THAT DEMOCRACY HAS COLLAPSED UNDER TINUBU – SOWORE

Nigerian activist and African Action Congress, AAC candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Omoyele Sowore has reacted Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu told Peter Obi to watch what he says.

Onanuga made the statement after Peter Obi said nothing works again in Nigeria and that democracy has collapsed in the country.

Reacting, Onanuga said if democracy has collapsed in the country, the former governor of Anambra state wouldn’t have the opportunity to speak freely.

Bayo Onanuga wrote on his official X handle;

“If democracy had indeed collapsed, as Peter claims, and we were living under a regime antithetical to democratic principles, he would not have been able to make his comments on Monday at Emeka Ihedioha’s colloquium. I will urge him to watch what he says and restrain himself from playing to the gallery”.

However, Omoyele Sowore has now shared his thoughts. In a post that he shared on his official X handle on Tuesday, he said Onanuga’s statements have further explained that democracy has collapsed under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“The statement made by Bayo Onanuga about Peter Obi comments yesterday is completely and insanely ludicrous, and the fact that he made such a statement is a testament to the total collapse of “democracy” under the Tinubu’s regime”.
