EX-IMMIGRATION BOSS, PARRADANG, DIED IN HOTEL ROOM AFTER RECEIVING FEMALE VISITOR – POLICE
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has firmly dismissed reports alleging that retired Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Shikfu Parradang, was kidnapped and murdered.
In an official statement issued by the Police Public Relations Office, authorities clarified the circumstances surrounding Mr Parradang’s death, urging the public to disregard unverified information that could spark unnecessary alarm.
According to the statement, Mr Parradang arrived at the Joy House Hotel at Area 3 Junction on 3 March 2025 at approximately 12:00 PM, travelling in a black Mercedes Benz.
He checked into the hotel and paid N22,000 for one night’s accommodation. Shortly after his arrival, he instructed a hotel attendant to escort a visiting female guest to his room.
The guest departed the hotel around 4:00 PM.
It was reported that Mr Parradang remained in his room after the visitor left.
However, at approximately 4:00 AM on 4 March 2025, a friend and military officer, concerned for his welfare, traced him to the hotel.
Upon arriving, the officer, alongside the hotel receptionist, discovered Mr Parradang deceased, seated in a chair in his room.
A police team from Durumi Police Station were immediately notified, and officers quickly secured the scene, documenting the evidence and taking photographs.
Mr Parradang’s body has since been transferred to the National Hospital for further procedures, while the investigation continues with particular focus on the involvement of the female guest, who is currently the subject of an arrest inquiry.
The FCT Police Command has called on both the public and media outlets to refrain from circulating rumours or unconfirmed reports, especially those pertaining to kidnapping, as such misinformation can induce needless panic.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities remain determined to establish the full facts behind this tragic incident.
Paradang checked into the hotel at 12 noon on March 3, and recieved a female visitor who left at 4 pm same day.
A military friend who was concerned about him came to the hotel at 4 am on March 4 to look for Paradang out of cpncern for his safety.
How did he know that Paradang had any issues and how did he know where to look for him at 4 am, before daybreak the next day? Na wa o!
