YOUTHS FLEE AS EFCC ALLEGEDLY STORMS EKPOMA ON VALENTINE’S NIGHT

A viral video has surfaced online showing youths running in panic as operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) allegedly stormed Ekpoma, Edo State, on Valentine’s night.

Many abandoned their cars in the middle of the road, fleeing on foot to escape the EFCC. The video, recorded at night, captures the voices of a man and a woman behind the camera narrating the chaotic scene, claiming that EFCC operatives were responsible for the raid. Gunshots were also heard during the operation, adding to the tension and confusion.

The incident has sparked outrage on social media, particularly on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), where users have questioned why the EFCC would conduct such an operation at night and in this manner. Some have even compared it to an armed robbery.

Speculations are also circulating, with some users suggesting that the operatives might not be real EFCC officers but impostors or criminals posing as law enforcement agents.

Further reports allege that the EFCC loaded three buses with young men and drove them away as suspects, fueling growing concerns about the nature of the operation.
