TRUMP ON RAMPAGE AS US AGENTS RAID WORKSITES, ARREST OVER 500 ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, DETAIN 373, DEPORT HUNDREDS

The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has confirmed the arrest of 583 individuals in a large-scale crackdown on illegal immigration.

ICE agents have been raiding some worksites in New Jersey as the security operatives begin the execution of President Donald Trump’s pledge to deport millions of immigrants who are in the U.S. illegally.

The agency announced that 373 of those apprehended have already been detained in various facilities.

The operation, which comes just three days after the new administration was sworn in, marks a move by President Donald Trump to fulfill his campaign promise of enforcing stricter immigration policies.

ICE disclosed details of the operation via its official X handle, on Thursday.

SaharaReporters had reported that Trump’s incoming administration also planned to launch a major immigration raid in Chicago the day after he assumed office.

NDTV reports that the Trump administration has taken action against illegal immigration, with White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announcing the arrest of 538 individuals and the deportation of hundreds more using military aircraft.

In an online statement on Thursday, Leavitt said, “The Trump Administration arrested 538 illegal immigrant criminals, including a suspected terrorist, four members of the Tren de Aragua gang, and several individuals convicted of sex crimes against minors.”

She further explained the scale of the operation, calling it “the largest deportation operation in history” and reaffirming the administration’s commitment with the slogan, “Promises made. Promises kept.”

The White House also released details of the ongoing efforts to secure the nation’s borders, highlighting the names of some arrested individuals and the crimes they were accused of.

These offenses include rape, sexual misconduct involving a child, and continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14.
