I’LL RELEASE RECORDS RELATING TO ASSASSINATION OF JFK, RFK, MLK – TRUMP

Newly inaugurated President Donald Trump on Sunday vowed to release records related to former President John F. Kennedy (JFK), Robert F. Kennedy (RFK) and Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr’s assassinations “in the coming days.”

“As a first step toward restoring transparency and accountability to government, we will also reverse the overclassification of government documents, and in the coming days, we are going to make public remaining records relating to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy, as well as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr and other topics of great public interest,” Trump said during a rally at Washington D.C.’s Capital One Arena in a clip highlighted by Mediaite.

Robert F. Kennedy’s son, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., backed Trump’s 2024 bid for the presidency, and has been picked by Trump as his nominee to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.

In a 2023 interview, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. backed a conspiracy theory about the CIA being involved in his uncle’s killing.

“There is overwhelming evidence that the CIA was involved in his murder,” Kennedy told radio host John Catsimatidis. “I think it’s beyond a reasonable doubt at this point.”

The CIA has consistently denied allegations of its involvement in former President Kennedy’s death, which occurred in Dallas in 1963.

Also during his Sunday rally, Trump promised a surge of executive action on his first day back in the Oval Office, vowing that his supporters will “have a lot of fun” amid the barrage.

“Every radical and foolish executive order of the Biden administration will be repealed within hours of when I take the oath of office,” Trump said.

“Oh, you’re going to have a lot of fun watching television tomorrow,” he added. “Somebody said yesterday, ‘Sir, don’t sign so many in one day. Let’s do it over a period of weeks.’ I said, ‘Like hell we’re going to do it over weeks.’ We’re going to sign them at the beginning.”

PRESIDENCY SLAMS KEMI BADENOCH OVER NEGATIVE COMMENTS AGAINST NIGERIA Nigerian Presidency has slammed the leader of the United Kingdom’s Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch for her continued onslaught against Nigeria. Badenoch while delivering her first message for the year said Nigeria is a poor country that ruins lives of her citizens. Citing the quality of life lived by her parents alongside her siblings while in Nigeria, Badenoch said her family became poor by merely living in the country. However, reacting to the onslaught by the UK Conservative Party leader, Daniel Bwala, the spokesperson to the president on information and strategy said Badenoch’s constant derogatory comments against Nigeria would not affect the country. Bwala while speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily said Badenoch is only demarketing Nigeria so that she can win the acceptance of the rights of her party. He said, “The only problem we have with Kemi, I think, is the rhetoric because Kemi belongs to the right base in the United Kingdom which is what you see in this populism around the world that you can deepen on your support system if you can feed off of the anger of the people. “And so she’s building a rhetoric of denigrating Nigeria, demarketing in Nigeria, so she can probably win the acceptance or acceptation of the rights in her part,” Bwala said. Further comparing Badenoch’s line of politics with her predecessor, Rishi Sunak, Bwala said her action is counterproductive. “And that to me is counterproductive because if you look at Rishi Sunak, he is also of Indian origin. There has been this issue of gang rape in India. “He has never used that as a weapon to promote what he believed to be a departure from what is likely to be believed as hereditary or history of the Indian people, but she has always denigrated Nigeria,” he added.

TRUMP SIGNS EXECUTIVE ORDER ENDING BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP, OTHER IMMIGRATION ACTIONS

TRUMP SIGNS EXECUTIVE ORDER ENDING BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP, OTHER IMMIGRATION ACTIONS Among executive orders signed by President Donald Trump at the Oval Office on Inauguration Day is one ending birthright citizenship. Such a move, though, is expected to face significant legal hurdles. Under the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, any person born within the territory of the U.S. is a U.S. citizen. When a reporter pointed out that that order will likely be challenged, Trump said, “You could be right.” “We have good grounds,” he added. On a call with reporters Monday morning, incoming White House officials previewed a series of executive orders and other actions the new Trump administration planned to take relating to the border and immigration. “We will protect the American people against invasion,” one of the incoming officials said. “This is about national security. This is about public safety. And this is about the victims of some of the most violent, abusive criminals we’ve seen enter our country in our lifetime. And it ends today.” Among the executive actions outlined, the incoming officials said Trump would declare a national emergency at the border and clarify the military’s role in “protecting the territorial integrity of the United States.” The orders would reinstate the “Remain in Mexico” policy, end the practice of “Catch and Release,” and complete the building of the wall at the southern border, officials said. They would designate drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations, end the ability for migrants caught between ports of entry to claim asylum, and suspend the resettlement of refugees for at least four months, they said. Officials also said Trump would order “enhance vetting and screening” of migrants and direct agencies to provide recommendations for suspending entry for migrants from “countries of particular concern.” He would also create Homeland Security task forces to target undocumented gang members and criminals, and restore the death penalty when a law enforcement officer is murdered by an undocumented migrant, officials said. While one of the incoming officials said the call was a “preview” of the “actions to be taken today,” it was not clear from the call that all the orders would happen Monday. In addition, many of the plans would require help from international partners like Mexico and would almost certainly spark legal battles.
