X USERS LAMBERT APC PUBLICTY SECRETARY, FELIX MORKA,’ OVER THREAT TO PETER OBI

It is with great concern and a deep sense of responsibility that I, condemn the recent incendiary remarks made by Mr. Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), during his appearance on national television on the 5th of January 2025. His statements not only pose a direct threat to the life, reputation, and business interests of Mr. Peter Obi but also constitute an affront to the principles of democracy, decency, and responsible political engagement.

Mr. Peter Obi, a man of impeccable character, has devoted his life to the service of Nigeria and the pursuit of good governance. He has consistently demonstrated that competence, merit, and respect for the rule of law should guide leadership. To attack him with baseless allegations and threats is an indication of the APC’s inability to engage constructively on the issues that matter to Nigerians.

Such inflammatory rhetoric has no place in our democracy. It undermines national unity, discourages productive political discourse, and endangers lives. We remind Mr. Felix Morka and the APC leadership that words have consequences. The Labour Party will hold them accountable for any harm that befalls Mr. Peter Obi or his associates.

We urge security agencies to investigate this matter and ensure that those who use public platforms to incite violence or issue veiled threats are held to account. Political leaders must rise above pettiness and focus on addressing the pressing challenges facing our nation, including insecurity, unemployment, and economic instability.

The Labour Party remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding the values of transparency, justice, and inclusion. We will not be cowed or distracted by threats or intimidation. Mr. Peter Obi represents hope and progress for millions of Nigerians, and we will continue to stand by him in his pursuit of a better Nigeria.

The APC must immediately issue a public apology to Mr. Peter Obi and retract the offensive statements made by its National Publicity Secretary. Anything less would be a tacit endorsement of such reckless and dangerous behavior.

As leaders, we owe it to Nigerians to promote peace, unity, and responsible political dialogue. Let us not forget that the true measure of leadership lies in how we treat one another, even in the face of disagreement.

Listening to Mr. Felix Morka today on Arise TV evoked a whirlwind of emotions—hilarity, confusion, disbelief, frustration, and anger.

His statements were baffling, blurring the lines between truth, fabrication, and the usual APC-style obfuscation.

Even the interviewers seemed perplexed, struggling to reconcile his contradictions. In one moment, he agreed to “available data,” only to deny its validity in the next.

For someone who emphatically claimed never to have threatened Mr. @PeterObi, his words tell a different story.

His angry remark that “whatever is coming to him, he should manage” starkly contradicts his alleged victimhood, where he claims to have received over 400 threats, including 200 death threats afterwards.

We live in a time when the APC government’s narrative is so muddled that even proverbial thunder seems unsure where to strike. But one thing is certain: this issue will not be swept under the carpet.

Should anything untoward happen to Mr. @PeterObi, his associates, or anyone linked to him, Felix Morka and the APC government will be held fully accountable.
Their public, televised threats are on record, and they cannot evade responsibility.

Furthermore, the recent baseless allegations of Mr. Peter Obi’s supposed arrest are nothing more than gimmicks—a desperate attempt to “test the waters.”

This is not going to end here. We will persist in demanding justice and accountability, no matter the games they play.

Mr. Morka himself has taught those young people how to behave like him. Every time he speaks, every time he vilifies, every time he tries to denigrate Peter Obi and the Obidient Movement, he’s actually describing himself,” Nana Kazaure stated.

In a stark acknowledgment of potential risks, Kazaure showed remarkable defiance: “We’re not afraid. Who knows? I may not get home because I’ve said what I have said. But like Peter Obi said, if this is the end, then so be it.”

The former LP spokesperson concluded with a passionate defense of Nigerian dignity: “Nigerians should not be spoken to as less than human beings. Nigerians should not be treated like animals. We’re not in a zoo.”

I PLOTTED, SCRIPTED FAYOSE’S IMPEACHMENT WITH OBASANJO – BUHARI’S EX-AIDE Former Special Adviser on Political Matters to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Babafemi Ojudu, has disclosed how he plotted the impeachment of former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose. Ojudu disclosed that he plotted and scripted Fayose’s impeachment with the support of former President Olusegun Obasanjo. The former presidential aide disclosed this while featuring on Edmund Obilo’s podcast, State Affairs, which was published on Thursday morning. According to Ojudu: “I plotted and scripted the impeachment of Fayose in Ekiti. I used Obasanjo and when he realized it, he fought back against me. “I had an agreement and signed that Fayose should be impeached but make sure his deputy is not. I took all the lawmakers to Lagos where I kept them in hotels and was feeding and taking them around. “I was not a senator, I was a journalist who had money and my friends gave me money. They were not happy with him, I saw that weak link and I exploited it. “Obasanjo was angry and gave the deputy governor soldiers to return to Ekiti and proclaim herself as governor. When she got there, I called people to resist her and they had no alternative but to declare an emergency. “Fayose sued me for libel and Falana was my lawyer, I went to court and presented my facts, by the time we finished, Justice Daramola told Fayose ‘you have no honour and integrity.’” Fayose became the second governor of Ekiti on 29 May 2003, after defeating the incumbent Governor, Niyi Adebayo in the gubernatorial elections. His tenure was cut short as a result of the impeachment on 16 October, 2006.

APC AFRAID OF PETER OBI’S RISING INFLUENCE AHEAD OF 2027 – LABOUR PARTY STAKEHOLDERS

APC AFRAID OF PETER OBI’S RISING INFLUENCE AHEAD OF 2027 – LABOUR PARTY STAKEHOLDERS A coalition under the banner of the Alliance for all Labour Party Stakeholders and Professionals has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of resorting to desperate tactics to discredit Mr Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, and deter him from contesting in the 2027 elections. In a statement issued by its convener, Dr Blessing Elaigwu, the coalition condemned the recent verbal attacks on Obi, particularly by APC National Spokesperson, Mr Felix Morka, during a televised interview. According to Elaigwu, Morka’s refusal to apologize for his remarks, despite multiple opportunities provided by the program anchor, reflects the ruling party’s fear of Obi’s growing influence. Part of the statement read: “It is disheartening to witness such blatant attempts to silence dissenting voices. “Mr. Morka’s fresh threat to compile and forward a list of 400 Nigerians to security agencies is a brazen effort to intimidate citizens into submission. “This is a glaring sign of a government frightened by the inevitable reckoning at the ballot box in 2027.” The coalition further criticized the APC for what it described as a “policy of institutionalized impoverishment,” accusing the party of creating record-breaking poverty and inequality under the current administration. “Nigerians are tired of APC’s lies and propaganda. Millions of citizens, battered by this administration’s ruinous policies, are preparing to emulate their Ghanaian counterparts by standing firm against bad governance and reclaiming the economy,” the group stated. The coalition warned APC leaders against building an authoritarian system that stifles free speech, emphasizing that Nigerians would not be silenced. “Morka and others in the APC should brace themselves for more criticism. If they aim to silence Nigerians, they might need to expand our prisons and recruit additional wardens because people will continue to demand accountability,” the group declared. Dr Elaigwu concluded by expressing confidence in Obi’s ability to lead Nigeria toward economic recovery, stating that the coalition and millions of Nigerians remain steadfast in supporting him. The Labour Party coalition called on the APC to focus on governance instead of intimidation, urging the ruling party to address the pressing issues affecting Nigerians instead of attempting to undermine the opposition.
