I’M NOT LOOKING FOR A RELATIONSHIP – CHIDIMMA ADETSHINA
Chidimma Adetshina, the first runner-up at the recent Miss Universe pageant, has revealed that she is not interested in pursuing a romantic relationship.
The 23-year-old South African-born Nigerian model spoke about her love life during a recent interview on Your View.
When asked if she had received a lot of male attention since her rise to fame, Adetshina’s response was straightforward: “I am not looking for a relationship”.
Although she chose not to disclose any further information about her love life, there are rumours she may already be romantically involved with someone.
The model married and divorced in February 2024 due to ideological differences. She is also a mother to a young child.
Adetshina’s path to Miss Universe was not without controversy. Born to a Nigerian father and Mozambican mother, she faced heavy criticism and withdrew from the Miss South Africa pageant due to her nationality.
However, Silverbird Group, organisers of Miss Universe Nigeria, invited her to participate, and she was crowned the pageant’s winner.
Adetshina represented Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant and was crowned the first runner-up, making history as the first Nigerian woman to take the second spot.
In November, Adetshina revealed that she would take a break from pageants to focus on her education, modeling, and acting career.
“I want to put pageantry aside for now and focus more on my education and establishing who Chidimma truly is,” she said.
“I want to delve more into runway modeling, acting, and explore many other areas. There are so many things I would like to try and see where my potential can take me.”
