THE INEVITABLE RETURN OF AMBASSADOR EKE AYODELE AS DG NIA & SUDDEN “RESIGNATION” OF AHMED RUFAI

Ahmed Rufai from Katsina state resigned as DG NIA yesterday, a post he has been holding since April 2017. He was the most influential of all Buhari’s appointees and the luckiest of all appointees.

His reported resignation today was short of FULL DISCLOSURE and deliberately underplayed for reasons below.

In April 2017, in a deliberately designed sting operation to create a vacuum by force and subterfuge at the NIA, initiated by Sabiu tunde and two other northern cabals, Magu, the then Efcc Chairman using an insider informant from NIA operations unit, was drafted to invade the lagos operational office of the NIA, Which he forcefully broke into and removed $43m and £34m.

$10M was allegedly reported to have been “stolen” out of the “recovery” when it was taken for custody at the CBN by an NIA accounts staff who was silently transfered out. Don’t ask me if the $10m was returned.

Even before the report of the presidential investigation was submitted and in spite of the existing court case instituted by Ayodele Eke, Buhari was misled into appointing Ahmed Rufai as the New DG NIA. As a reward, Tunde Sabiu, who was never a member of the intelligence community, was rewarded with the post of Assistant Director at the NIA while still holding the post of PA to C in C and posted to the villa. To date, he is a staff of the NIA just to give him a soft landing.

Eke Ayodele, who was suspended in April 2017 by Buhari, pending the outcome of investigation, went to court to contest his indictment arising from Magu’s raid.

In 2023, the court cleared Ambassador Eke Ayodele from any wrongdoing and ordered that he be reinstated back to his seat as DG NIA being a statutory tenure appointment with constitutional flavor

The court order came before the elections, and removing Rufai and reinstating Ayodele may be a spoiler for the APC in the North, particularly aware of the role expected to “be played” by Ahmed Rufai in the 2023 presidential election.

Even after “declared” winner, Tinubu ” retained” Ahmed Rufai in “appreciation” to his role but behind the scene assuring Eke Ayodele of his plans to implement the court order that restored him to his seat.

As we await the formal return of Eke Ayodele as the DG NIA, we allow the public to make all the insinuations. rightly or wrongly , particularly on Ahmed Rufa’s tenor, particularly as katsina state, his home state became decimated by bandits, kidnappers, and state treasury looters from 2015 to date.

The Sardaunan katsina can now return home after a “job welldone” and help to save his Emir, (who is undersiege from the young and delicate Turk), his benefactor, who took away the Sardauna title from Sadiq kaita, a full royal blooded young man and handed over to Ahmed Rufai on a ” platter” of Gold.

Welcome back, Ambassador Eke Ayodele, and don’t witch hunder anybody but rather return Good against the evil done to you. Because your return is not by your power but God’s will. If you return evil for evil, your days will be counted.

BISHOP KUKAH TUTORS TINUBU’S SPOKESPERSONS ON COMMUNICATION STRATEGIES; ITS NOT ABOUT INSULTING PEOPLE Founder of The Kukah Centre, Bishop Mathew Kukah, has emphasized the need for better communication strategies from President Bola Tinubu’s Spokespersons, urging them to focus on effectively conveying the government’s message rather than resorting to insults or dismissing differing opinions.Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Morning Brief on Tuesday, Kukah called on the administration to engage Nigerians constructively, especially during a time of widespread poverty and economic hardship. He stressed that clear communication is essential for reassuring the public and fostering patience as the government works through its proposed reforms. Bishop Kukah said, “What I can say is that this government must respond urgently to the issues of the day. They are issues of massive impoverishment in Nigeria. You can see the frustration on the faces of people, husbands, wives and children. “I am convinced that this government has lofty ideas, but there is a total absence of a constructive strategy of engagement.” He urged government officials to communicate effectively, stating, “This government needs communication strategies. The Nigerian government needs to convince Nigerians that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and encourage them to be a little patient. “I see the conversation around local government autonomy, tax reform bills and others. But the government has to communicate with the people. So when people call themselves government spokespersons- it is not about insulting people, or thinking others can’t have different views. But their job is how the ideas of the government are communicated. We need to have an idea of the government reforms. “We are happy to hear of the return of Port Harcourt Refinery. And the government needs to tell people what and what to expect at so-so time.” Bishop Kukah also cautioned against the government’s tendency to blame predecessors for current challenges. “By now, Nigerians are tired of hearing the government saying “we didn’t think things were this bad”. They must have had an idea of what was going on before contesting. So, when they say we have $30 million in our reserves. They should know the money should increase before they leave office. People come into government to solve problems and not to compound them. And you must have round pegs in round holes. “Government must not take the loyalty of people for granted. Winning elections isn’t about getting into power and then waiting to win another one,” he added.

UPROAR IN HOUSE OF REPS OVER TAX REFORM BILLS

UPROAR IN HOUSE OF REPS OVER TAX REFORM BILLS There was a shouting match among members of the House of Representatives on Tuesday over President Bola Tinubu’s controversial Tax Reform Bills. Tempers flared when the House spokesperson and Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee, Akin Rotimi, made a remark concerning the tax bills. The commotion began when Rotimi, standing in for the absent Committee Chair, Boma Goodhead, attempted to present a report on Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring. Rotimi said: “My name is Akin Rotimi Jr. I represent the people of Ekiti North comprising Ikole and Oye Local Governments. Mr. Speaker, I am from Ekiti State, the first state whose National Assembly Caucus has unanimously endorsed the tax bills.” His remark led to an uproar, with lawmakers vocally opposing the statement and chanting “No, No, No!” Intervening, the Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas, said Rotimi’s remark should not be taken seriously. The Speaker cautioned him, saying: “Restrict yourself to the subject matter. We are not discussing tax bills, as this is a very controversial issue. On your behalf, I withdraw the statement.” Rotimi apologized and retracted his comment, but the lawmakers remained dissatisfied. They demanded he step down the report entirely. Yielding to pressure, Rotimi conceded, saying: “I seek the leave of the Speaker and honourable members to step down the report.”
