TINUBU RETURNS TO FRANCE ON INDEFINITE VACATION AFTER SEVEN MONTHS
President Bola Tinubu will today commence an indefinite vacation to France, seven months after he visited the country on a “private visit”.
Tinubu’s spokesman, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, who made the announcement in a two-paragraph statement on Sunday, did not disclose when the president is expected back in the country.
Quoting Ngele, “President Bola Tinubu will embark on a trip to France on Monday, August 19, departing from Abuja, the nation’s capital.
“The President will return to the country after his brief work stay in France.”
In January, President Tinubu’s visit to the West European country generated speculations on social media, with some claiming he went to see his physician.
Prior to that trip, the president visited London, the United Kingdom, after attending the New Global Financing Pact summit in France in June 2023.
The London trip also generated controversy, prompting the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to deny reports that it was for medical purposes.
Dele Alake, Tinubu’s then-Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communication and Strategy, had clarified that the London visit was personal.
