2027: THERE’S BREWING NORTHERN CONSPIRACY AGAINST TINUBU – KANO-BASED POLITICAL ANALYST

Dattijo Sani Rano, a political analyst based in Kano state, has revealed that there is a grand conspiracy from Northern Nigeria against the re-emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term.

According to him, the recent open declaration by the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) that the North would work against Tinubu in 2027 ”is a clear indication that there are powerful forces at work to undermine the President’s second term chances and set the stage for a carefully orchestrated plot against him.”

He said: ”The fact that such a group has openly declared its opposition to Tinubu’s bid speaks volumes about the deep-seated opposition and resistance he faces from outside and within his own political circles.

”It is further evidence that there are powerful forces at play who are determined to derail his political aspirations with a concerted effort to block his path to a second term.

”The alignment of key players like the Kwankwaso camp and the Atiku Abubakar forces against him further highlights the depth of this conspiracy.

”The connivance of leaders from the North and the self-serving greed of those within the Presidential Villa are enabling this plot to take root and thrive.

”The emergence of key figures such as Alhaji Danbilki Kwamanda and Prof Khalifa Dikwa, who have openly criticized Tinubu’s administration and suggested Kashim Shettima as alternative candidate for the presidency, sheds light on the depth of the conspiracy.

”These individuals, along with the Kwankwaso camp and the Atiku Abubakar forces, are actively working to undermine Tinubu’s drive and pave the way for their own agendas.”

Rano added that President Tinubu ”is facing a formidable challenge from within his own ranks.”

”The power struggle and backstabbing taking place behind the scenes threaten to derail his administration and undermine his legacy.

”He must take immediate action to counteract the machinations of those seeking to undermine his aspiration.

”It is time for Tinubu to identify and remove the Judases within his camp, and forge ahead with a team of individuals that is dedicated to upholding the values of justice and honest enterprise.

”It is imperative that President Tinubu takes swift and decisive action to counteract these malicious manoeuvres.

”Tinubu should be aware of the challenges he is facing from an emerging opposition that aims to weaken his support base in the northern region of the country.

”Tinubu must take note of these developments and take necessary steps to safeguard his political interests in the northern region.

”It is imperative that he strengthens his alliances, engages in strategic planning, and remains vigilant against any attempts to undermine his position.”It is time to rise to the occasion, take control of the narrative, and assert his authority over those seeking to undermine him,” he added.

LP INSISTS ON PETER OBI AS 2027 PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE Labour Party (LP) Directorate on Mobilisation and Integration has denied any plan to dump Peter Obi as the party’s candidate ahead of the 2027 presidential election. The directorate was reacting to a report, which hinted that they had reconciled with the Lamidi Apapa-led faction of the party and agreed to field another candidate in 2027. According to the report, camps of the incumbent National Chairman, Julius Abure, and Apapa faction laying claim to the mantle of leadership have agreed to sheathe their swords and work together. Spokesman of the Apapa faction, Abayomi Arabambi, also hinted that there was nothing like Obi-Datti presidential campaign at the party anymore, saying it had been dissolved and everybody “reverted to former governorship and presidential candidate”. But in a statement signed by the Director General of the Directorate, Marcel Ngogbehei; Deputy Director of Media and Communications, Aju Elumelu and the Deputy Director, Strategic Engagement, Rufai Al-Saddiq, yesterday, the directorate acknowledged efforts to reconcile aggrieved groups in the party, but no agreement ahead of the 2027 election with the groups. LP, through a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, announced the creation of a directorate to see to the affairs of the Obidient Movement and encourage their participation in the party and the governance in Nigeria. The statement reads, “The leadership and members of our great party recognises the importance of this great admonition based on our African culture of ensuring peaceful coexistent among brothers and acknowledging a bigger target – liberating Nigeria from the shackles of greedy politicians and building a nation that protects the interest of its citizens. “The party has decided to follow a peaceful approach to resolving the internal misunderstanding. This effort within LP and its successes has elicited different reactions. Also, we have seen an attempt by the opposition to make a false spin for their selfish interest, misinforming the general public to cause more crises in our party.” It added that the party leadership recognised the need for unity and cohesion within the party as a requirement for internal party stability and for improving Obi’s winning chances in 2027.“But to set the records straight, Peter Obi remains our presidential candidate for 2027 as ratified and all the party leadership is behind him and committed to his message of a new Nigeria.”

POLICE TAKE CHARGE OF KANO EMIR’S PALACE, SACK LOCAL HUNTERS

POLICE TAKE CHARGE OF KANO EMIR’S PALACE, SACK LOCAL HUNTERS The Police have taken charge of the security of Kano Emir’s main palace previously guarded by local hunters after Lamido Sanusi was reinstated. These hunters, called ‘Yan Tauri’, had come from various parts of the state to secure the palace following rumours that federal authorities intended to move Aminu Ado-Bayero amid the ongoing emirship dispute. Ado-Bayero, who was recently removed from his position by the state government, is now under the protection of federal security agents at the Nasarawa mini palace. According to Premium Times, security agents took control of the main emir’s palace, Gidan Rumfa, on Sunday evening, where the hunters had been engaged in activities like playing card games. A security source confirmed that the hunters had been sacked. “You can see for yourself that the hunters are no longer here,” a police officer at the palace noted. Residents said that the hunters left the palace between Saturday and Sunday morning after a court ruling on Thursday declared Sanusi’s reappointment invalid. Some residents mentioned that the hunters left their machetes behind to avoid identification after being ordered to leave the palace or face the security agents’ consequences. “Some of them left behind their machetes to conceal their identity after they were asked to vacate the palace or face the wrath of the security agents”, one of the residents said. The court decision nullified Sanusi’s reappointment and directed the state government to stop implementing the Kano Emirate Council (Repeal) Law, 2024.Judge Abdullahi Liman ruled the reappointment void due to the government’s failure to comply with a previous court order prohibiting further action on the new emirate council law.
