APC CHIEFTAIN SLUMPS, DIES IN CHURCH

A top chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Chief Obinna Atuonwu has passed away.

He died on Sunday, 21st April, 2024 during a church service at the age of 65.

The late Atuonwu had attended a church service in Aba; the commercial capital of the state and was addressing the congregation when he collapsed.

Narrating how the incident happened, the only brother of the deceased, Dr. Chiedozie Atuonu said that on that fateful day, he got a call to rush to Aba from Umuahia where he was.

According to him, the caller told him that his late brother was feeling critically ill and needed urgent medical attention.

According to him, upon arrival, he discovered that his brother’s condition was critical and he was rushed to hospital where he was confirmed dead.He added that his remains has been deposited at the morgue.
