HOW I MET CHIOMA – DAVIDO

Davido Adeleke, the Nigerian pop star, has clarified the origins of his relationship with his newly wedded wife, Chioma.

In a short video posted on X while preparing for their wedding, the pop star was seen hugging his close friend Lati.

During their conversation, Davido said, “You know it was Lati who introduced me to my wife,” surprising everyone in the room.

Towards the end of the video, they enthusiastically cheered for Lati.

Earlier this year, in an interview with YouTuber Tayo Aina, Davido revealed how he met Chioma.

He said, “I was in school for a year before I blew up. That was when I met my wife. I remember the day I saw her—I can never forget it. I was in a Prado, and I looked back and saw this girl walking with her bag. It was Chioma. I called her, but she didn’t answer me at the time. Later on, she came to Lagos, and we connected. I was like, yeah, I got you.”

Lateef Biola, better known as Lati, has been with Davido since the pop star was ten years old.

He is in charge of A&R (artists and repertoire) for Davido’s record label, DMW, and also runs his own company.

He is the director of Latino General Merchants Nigeria Limited, an oil and gas company in Lagos.

In 2002, he graduated from the Department of Mass Communication at Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos State.Davido and Chioma later officially got married at an impressive ceremony held in Lagos on Tuesday, attended by who-is-who in the country, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Lagos Governor, Sanwo-olu, Abia Governor, Alex Otti, among others.

Charles Olumo (Agbako) Alhaji Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, known professionally as Charles Olumo or Agbako, was a veteran Nigerian actor from Abeokuta, Ogun State. Born in July 1923, he began his acting career in 1953 and became a prominent figure in Yoruba-language films. He passed on October 31, 2024, at the age of 101, leaving behind a legacy that spanned over seven decades. Onyeka Onwenu Onyeka Onwenu was a multifaceted Nigerian entertainer, known for her work as a singer, actress, journalist, and politician.
