JUNIOR POPE: TEARS FLOW DURING FUNERAL SERVICE IN HIS HOMETOWN, UKEHE
It was a moment of grief, sorrow and tears on Friday during the funeral service at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Ukehe, located in Igboetiti Local Government Area of Enugu State, for the late Nollywood actor, John Paul Odonwodo, fondly known as Junior Pope.
The 43-year-old actor died on April 10 when their boat capsized in the Anam River while returning from a movie shoot.
The solemn occasion came in the wake of Junior Pope’s tragic demise, along with four other members of the Nollywood community, in a devastating boat accident.
The fatal incident transpired as they were en route via watercraft to film Adanma Luke’s upcoming movie, ‘The Other Side of Life’.
His family had earlier revealed that he would be laid to rest on May 17.
In poignant images circulated online, Junior Pope’s wife was captured alongside their children, who attended a church service to honour his memory.
