The call by former President Olusegun Obasanjo for a Coalition of Nigeria Movement to rescue Nigeria, seems to be yielding the expected dividend as about seven governors, 20 Senators, and over 100 House of Representatives members were said to have agreed in principle to join the movement.
According to Premium Times report, before Obasanjo made public on Tuesday his letter asking President Muhammadu Buhari to take an honorable exit and return to Daura, his home town, because he failed to positively impact on the lives of Nigerians, he had shared the content of the letter to some of his close allies.
Obasanjo had in the letter, which is now the subject of nationwide discussion, said that both the APC and the PDP were “wobbling”, and therefore are unfit to run Nigeria.
He then advocated for a Coalition of Nigerian Movement away from the APC and the PDP.
The Nigerian government had on Wednesday responded to Obasanjo’s letter, saying that the former President was too busy to notice the tremendous progress the administration was making.
