Governor Abdulahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State, has brought respite to the ongoing clashes between Fulani herdsmen and farmers across the country which led to several deaths, burning of houses and destruction of valuable property, by asking all Fulani herdsmen to relocate to Kano State.
Speaking at an official function in Kano, Governor Ganduje said the state had enough facilities to accommodate all the cattle in the country.
He advised all the Fulani herdsmen having problems with their host communities to begin to relocate to Kano, assuring them that the state had enough facilities to accommodate them.
I think this is a welcome development. Let all the Fulani, along with their cattle, particulaly those residing in Igboland, pack their bags and baggage and begin to make their way to Kano since Governor Ganduje is ready to welcome them with open arms.
They should not stay here any longer, destroying our farm crops, raping our women, maiming or killing our people, and burning down our houses.
