ENUGU, ANAMBRA RESIDENTS DEFY SIT-AT-HOME, GO ABOUT NORMAL BUSINESSES
Residents of Enugu and Anambra states have defied the five days sit-at-home order given by the self-proclaimed Nnamdi Kanu’s disciple, Simon Ekpa.
Reports from most of the towns and villages from the two states indicate that residents have been going about their normal daily activities and businesses despite the order issued by the group.
The five-day sit-at-home was to start from today, Friday 9th December to Wednesday, 14th of December, 2022
Simon Ekpa, spokesperson for the Autopilot group, declared the five-day sit-at-home in all the southeastern states of Enugu, Anambra, Abia, Imo, and Ebonyi.
Following the order, Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) made a statement through his lawyer, Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor condemning the order and told the people to ignore the exercise.
Also, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo and pro-Biafra group Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) had urged all Igbo residents to neglect the sit-at-home order, describing it anti-Biafra agitation which does not benefit the people
